Tuesdays with Dorie: Classic Jammers

I’m a Michigander, born and raised, and had never heard of a jammer, but I had a feeling I’d like these! I’ve been a fan of sables for YEARS. Hands down, favorite type of cookie to make and to eat.

The fact that these had jam in them presented another opportunity- which of the many jams that we have were to be used. I opted to use a Belgium Drunken Peach jam from Wildiers.

These did not disappoint! We loved them. The only snafu I hit was being reminded that I really should invest in a few more muffin tins, as making them was time consuming. Happy Fourth of July all my Tuesdays with Dorie bakers!

These were delicious and well worth the wait. I don’t see myself making them again though as it is too much work. I think I would make the galette again.

Love the sound of that jam! It’s a nice change from the dark berries. Good-looking cookies, too!
