I’m going to be completely honest- after being sick with a cold and being miserable all week- I was not in a good mood. ALL of my baking had been thrown off the tracks and my schedule was completely messed up. I also was completely prepared to not like this cake’s flavors. I knew I was taking a risk, but I had all the ingredients and couldn’t resist trying tahini in something sweet.
So, here I am- a little bit late, and surprise! We really enjoyed this cake for breakfast (if you haven’t noticed, we’re fans of turning cake into breakfast around here!). Sweet, but not overly, and a lot of “stuff” in it- golden raisins, dried cherries and chopped walnuts. And the tahini gives it a nice nutty flavor.
We continue to bake from “World Class Cakes” by Roger Pizey!
